Why a bottle?

Pouring a drink is a ritual. A clink of ice, a glass selected carefully, a bottle with a story. There's no shame in it — we put our liquor on a shelf and light it from behind like a stained-glass window.

A good pipe has never had that. It's been hidden in sock drawers and shoeboxes, stuffed behind books, tucked into desks. Same adult ritual as the pour at the bar — and yet a wholly different relationship with the object.

We thought the object should change.

So we started saving bottles. Whiskey, tequila, gin, cognac. We clean them, fit them with hand-blown borosilicate hardware, and finish them by hand. The result is a piece that belongs on the same shelf as its old neighbors — because it is one of them.

Hidden in plain sight. The stigma doesn't survive the daylight.
