The squat, square-shouldered Maker's Mark bottle — embossed "SIV" medallion, cream-and-black hand-torn label, and that unmistakable hand-dipped red wax seal dripping down the neck — is one of the most photographed shapes in American whiskey. We keep every bit of that identity intact and give it a second life as a daily-driver water pipe. Each piece starts as an empty 750ml Maker's Mark bottle, sourced from local bars and private collections around Loretto and beyond. The original crimson wax dip is preserved exactly as it was poured at the distillery — no two drip patterns are alike, which means no two of these are alike either. The original black-capped cork stopper is retained and functions as the carb seal, keeping the bottle's silhouette completely true to the shelf original. A 14mm clear borosilicate downstem is hand-fit into a precision-cut neck joint, paired with a matching clear glass bowl. The cut is clean, polished, and sealed with a food-grade silicone grommet — no glue, no resin, no shortcuts. Fill it through the mouth of the bottle, cap with the original stopper, and pull smooth through the wide square base. A piece of Kentucky that hides in plain sight on the top shelf, right between your Weller and your Wild Turkey.
